My deepest sympathies are with your family. When I spoke with Nancy the last few times, she had no regrets - she spoke of your support, presence and love, of her travels, and her hopes for her nieces and nephews. She loved you all so very much.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

whipped cream on my dad's bald head
chicago style pizza during the women's world cup game
planning my mom's surprise party
Kyra's wedding shower
koufeta making
Lunches in Wausau on the way Up North
"Tomahawk" - it was the way she said it as we drove past
Up North
Strawberry Picking
Copper Falls
and many more...
Among the Saints, O Lord, rest the soul of thy servant Nancy where there is no pain nor grief, nor sorrow, but life everlasting.

Nancy and I had a special kinship, she being the eldest cousin in our extended family and I being the youngest.
As a child, Nancy showed great patience and caring with me and my brothers; when I attended Madison she served as my informal mentor for all things Computer Science related (I would visit her while she was a graduate assistant there) and as an adult, she and I had a special 'geek speak' bond that would allow us to catch up on each others' careers when we'd see each other once a year or so.
Nancy was a warm-hearted, fun-loving person who was always willing to give of her time as well as offer her home to her family. Her presence will be felt always by those who knew her and loved her.
Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to the extended Zompolas family during this sad time. Nancy was a unique individual and she will be missed by those who loved her.

Dear Zompolas Family,
Being from family of 3 boys, Nancy was not only a cousin to us, but she was the big sister we never had. Her patience and loving attitude towards her younger cousins was much appreciated, and her willingness to endure sometimes unruly teenagers (without criticism or judgement) revealed what a gem she was. Her giving attitude, family and community involvement, and servant’s heart will be greatly missed. Her mark and influence upon the people she touched will live on. May her memory be eternal.

My thoughts and prayers are with Tom and Doris and their family. I was shocked to hear of Nancy's passing. She was a kind, loving and generous person. She was always kind to me. I remember her as a parish council member of the Annunciation Church. She worked hard and was dedicated to her Orthodox faith. May her memory be eternal. Love in Christ Stephanie Rauch

Sending you warms thoughts and comfort at this difficult time. Nancy worked with my husband. They created a friendship and bond as they discussed their own battles with Cancer and how important it was to continue to live and enjoy each moment life gave them. Dave spoke of her often and his fondness for her and their friendship.

I worked with Nancy in X-ray during the early 80's. I was an intern at the time. She was the first person that created an analogy that helped me understand the concept of computer programmming. She said it was like a cookie recipe. Write down all the ingredients and the steps you need to follow. Forget a few ingredients or steps, you will not get what you expected.
She also was a source of inspiration when I was troubled about my faith and whether a non-secular person could actually perform enough works to please God. She provided a different perspective I had not considered through her own faith experience.
Nancy was truly a professional and spiritual model. Society has lost a powerful, positive influence.
With Deepest Sympathy,

Nancy had a smile that could light up a room. She had a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She was bright, compassionate and humble. She will be dearly missed by everyone. I only have pleasant thoughts and fond memories when I think of Nancy.
May her memory be eternal.
