Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies are with your family. When I spoke with Nancy the last few times, she had no regrets - she spoke of your support, presence and love, of her travels, and her hopes for her nieces and nephews. She loved you all so very much.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Just a few of my memories of/with Nancy:

Door County trips
"U-ey" in scrabble
birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
kolouria (Greek Easter cookies) with my dirty hands...
long division
binary numbers
perfectly made pies
whipped cream on my dad's bald head
chicago style pizza during the women's world cup game
planning my mom's surprise party
Kyra's wedding shower
koufeta making
Lunches in Wausau on the way Up North

Nancy and I had a special kinship, she being the eldest cousin in our extended family and I being the youngest.

As a child, Nancy showed great patience and caring with me and my brothers; when I attended Madison she served as my informal mentor for all things Computer Science related (I would visit her while she was a graduate assistant there) and as an adult, she and I had a special 'geek speak' bond that would allow us to catch up on each others' careers when we'd see each other...

Dear Zompolas Family,
Being from family of 3 boys, Nancy was not only a cousin to us, but she was the big sister we never had. Her patience and loving attitude towards her younger cousins was much appreciated, and her willingness to endure sometimes unruly teenagers (without criticism or judgement) revealed what a gem she was. Her giving attitude, family and community involvement, and servant’s heart will be greatly missed. Her mark and influence upon the people she touched will live...

I have fond memories of decorating with Nancy at St. Nicholas Church at Christmas and Easter. Please accept my condolences on your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Nancy's memory will live in our hearts forever. May she now rest in a place of brightness where there is no sickness, sorrow or pain. May her memory be eternal! We love her and will miss her.

Elaine -

From all of us at UHC, please know our thoughts are with you and your family. In reading through the guestbook, your sister was clearly loved and well thought of. May this bring you some peace during this time.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. A kind and beautiful woman, Nancy will live forever in my memory. Thoughts of her have always -- and will contnue to -- make me smile. I don't think she realized how much she touched all our lives. My heart and prayers go out to her entire family.

Our deepest sympathies go to the Zompolas Family. Nancy's Spirit and passion for everything she did will be missed. The World is a better place because of Nancy.
