Mr. Kalman & family, I'm deeply saddened for your loss. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity of having Mrs. Kalman as a teacher (Class of 90). Her dedication and passion for teaching was displayed daily with each student she encountered. Mrs. Kalman will always be remembered and her life celebrated. Thank you! Thanks for the help with scholarships, thanks for helping me get a job at Mr. Kalman's company, thanks for taking me on college visits and thanks for being a role model. Everyone has that special teacher that stands out and Mrs. Kalman was that special influencer in my life. Thank you!

I was a student of Mrs. Kalman's about 36 years ago. I loved and adored her. I will never forget that bright and cheery smile. I pray that she has found peace in heaven, and I pray for little Johnny and Jodi. They won't remember me, but I took them to school with me for a child development class. And I pray for Mr. Kalman. May your grief lesson as the days pass, and find comfort knowing that she was loved and cherished by many. Rest in Peace Mrs. Kalman. You will never be forgotten.

Mrs Kalman (Hoffman) was a very special teacher to me. (Class of 1972) She even let me drive her little sports car. We did a lot together and she taught me so so much. I regret I lost contact with her. I know she had a wonderful life. God Bless you and my condolences to the whole family.

Without Mrs. Kalman, many South Division students, including myself, would have never made it out of poverty. I would have NEVER graduated from high school, earned a bachelor's degree and obtained a profession. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Kalman family and the students that were touched by an angel on earth.
Sincerely,
V.C. Class of 1996

Mrs. Kalman was my South Division OE teacher Senior year 1985-86. I was losing my OE job at the end of school year and my dad had died two weeks before graduation. Being the caring person that she was, she took me under her wing and took the time to set me up with a job after I graduated. 30 yrs later, I am still at that job. It's because of her and that job opportunity, that I am able to have a great life and provide for my kids....And for that, I will be forever grateful.

Mrs. Kalman was my South Division High School Office Education Teacher 1981-82. She was my role model and inspired me to be the best I could be at such an influential age of my life. As she wrote in a card to me after our Office Education banquet, yes Mrs. Kalman, I will "keep shining". Thank you for giving me the confidence to succeed!
