Virginia Vinluan Obituary

Vinluan, Virginia B. "Virgie" VIRGIE of Brookfield, age 63, died on June 15, 2013, of uterine cancer at the Aurora Zilber Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by husband, Dr. Jerry Vinluan; sons Jerry III, Jason and Justin; mother, Julie Ungson Ronsario; brothers Marianito, Felixberto Jr. and Felixberto III; sisters Francis Tan, Susan Garong and twin Lorrie Bondoc; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Felixberto G. Bustos and sister Trinidad Miles. Virgie was born on August 3, 1949, in Dagupan City, Philippines. Virgie received her Bachelor's Degree in Banking in Finance from St. Paul College in Manila. She met Jerry, an intelligent and handsome man, and they were married in the Philippines on November 21, 1970, and had their first son. They moved to Milwaukee for Jerry's residency, and their other two sons were born in Wisconsin. Virgie's children were her world. She cheered her young athletes in their tennis matches and football games. Virgie wanted to instill a love of music, and the boys took piano, trumpet and violin lessons. Because of this, Jason became an accomplished violinist. She was also very proud of Jerry for becoming an attorney defending individuals' rights and Justin for his work at Google. Virgie enjoyed visiting her family in California, specifically her identical twin sister, Lorrie. She also had the opportunity to enjoy life and travel with her sisters to Hawaii, Mexico and Europe. Being thousands of miles away from her sisters and mother, Virgie found her "Milwaukee family". Together they raised their children, assisted with babysitting, and served as ninangs (godmothers) for each other's children. Virgie was an extremely kind and friendly person who touched many people's hearts and lives. . The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until the Vigil Service at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 27, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church (1755 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield) at 10:30AM. Virgie's wishes are to be cremated and buried in San Diego at El Camino Memorial. Virgie will be remembered always. Her beautiful smile, kindness, generosity, and spirit will forever be with those who love her. Virgie, we miss you so much. We will always love and cherish you in our hearts.

My Dearest Sweetest Cousin
I am broken hearted to hear about your passing. You are the sweetest cousin and I will always remember your kindness and generosity. I am so grateful that we got to visit with each other in 2011. I will always love you and cherish you in my heart. My condolences- Jerry, and I remember the violin practices: Jerry, Jason, Justin and the family rosaries.
May God be with you at these sad moments but we can be assured that your Mom will be in a very happy place.

I babysat Justin and Jason when they were little, and I remember what a classy woman Mrs. Vinluan was. A loving mother who was devoted to her children. Rest in Peace, Mrs. V.

Dr. Vinluan, Jerry, Jason, and Justin, Mrs. Vinluan was truely an amazing person. Her heart was huge and she was always giving to others. She could organize a dozen things and still have time for everyone. I will miss her dearly. She is at peace now, in heaven, and who knows, maybe even (my) grams and her are chatting! Love, Tammy, David and Pearse McCormick

It is with a heavy heart that I am leaving this guest book entry. You were a loving, vibrant, and endearing Godmother towards me my entire life. I love you and will miss you but I will never forget you. I still have some of the gifts you have made for me. I will continue to cherish them and think of you every time I take them out for the specific holiday they were made for. God rest your beautiful soul, Ninang Virgie.

Ate Virgie, I will always be grateful for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and friendship. You remain an inspiration as a wife, mother, and community leader. The PMA-Auxiliary will not be the same without its most ardent advocate. I will forever remember you as my "loving friend".

With love and affection,
Becky
