Walter K. "Wally" Struck

Struck, Walter K. "Wally" Age 95. Passed away peacefully at his home in Merton on Sunday, May 16, 2010. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Esther (nee Heling) Struck and 13 siblings. Loving father of Carol Grant, Sharon Struck, Gael O'Hern and Dawn Brenner. Beloved brother of Margaret Coates, Dorothy Druecke and Delores Evans. Dear grandpa to ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Wally was loved and will be remembered by numerous family and friends. Wally was born in Lannon on December 17, 1914, to Frank and Mary (nee Bloedel) Struck. He began work as a young boy to help support his large family. He was a manager at Caterpillar for 38 years, while raising his family on Pewaukee Lake. He loved fishing with friends in Canada each summer. After his retirement he built a home in Hartford, where he enjoyed walks in the woods and working in his shop. Wally had a lifelong love of learning. He was an inventor, an engineer, a craftsman, a mentor, and a beloved father and grandfather. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 19, at the FUNERAL HOME from 4PM until time of Funeral Service at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials gifts to Divine Saviour Lutheran Church (Hartford) or a charity of your choice are appreciated.
