Robert Lloyd Larson, Jr., 85, of Wauwatosa, WI, died Sunday, February 8, 2026 after a brief illness.

Bob was born July 16, 1940 in Washington, D.C., the oldest of four sons of Robert Lloyd Larson and Ruth Margaret Dear. The family relocated to Lebanon, OH where he was raised alongside brothers Jerry, Jim, and Mike.

Bob graduated from Lebanon High School in 1958. He completed a Diploma in Radio Broadcasting from Brown Institute in Minneapolis, MN, and worked at radio stations in Delaware, OH, LeMars, IA, and Jackson, WI. He later received a Bachelors degree from Westmar College in LeMars, IA and a Masters Degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

On February 12, 1966, Bob was united in marriage with Patty Jane Mook, the daughter of Roy Mook and Frances Frangenberg. Bob and Pat made their home in Wauwatosa and raised their son Rob there.

Bob spent his career teaching Math and Computer Science in the Milwaukee Public Schools system, teaching at John Burroughs Junior High School and Harold S. Vincent High School. At Vincent, he was the school’s inaugural Boys Soccer Coach.

Bob enjoyed gardening, singing, attending daily mass, bible study and rosary groups, donuts at Cranky Al’s and bratwurst at Bunzel’s.

He had a particular passion for Irish music. His annual joy was to attend as much of Milwaukee Irish Fest as possible. Bob was very excited to find that he had a great-great-great grandfather that was actually Irish!

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his wife Patty of Wauwatosa, WI, his son Rob (Rhonda) of Hawthorn Woods, IL, grandson Robby (Samantha) of Villa Park, IL and granddaughter Rowan of Hawthorn Woods, IL.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21st at Christ King Catholic Church, 2604 N Swan Blvd, Wauwatosa. Visitation will begin at 9:00am with a Funeral Mass at 10:30am. A fellowship lunch will follow.
