Judith Larson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home - Burnsville on Feb. 11, 2026.
In Loving Memory of a One of a Kind Grandmother

The world grew a little quieter and a lot less sparkly as we said goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away at the age of 80 after a life filled with humor, adventure, and boundless love.

She was funny in the effortless way that only truly witty people are-sharp minded, quick with a comeback, and never one to miss the perfect moment for a joke. Her intelligence made her captivating; her humor made her unforgettable.

Of all the roles she held in her full and joyful life, one of her greatest sources of pride was being a mother. She adored her daughters, Tracy and Teri, and she was deeply proud of the women they became. She celebrated their accomplishments, supported their journeys, and loved them with a steadfast, wholehearted devotion.

She was endlessly proud of her grandchildren-Chelsea Gehrke (Jake), Catherine Kruzel (Jade), Chloe Gehrke (Josie), Camille Gehrke (Blake), Eloise, Emmalia, Jenna, and Lincoln-each one bringing her immeasurable joy and countless stories she delighted in sharing with anyone willing to listen.

Her adventurous spirit carried her through life with curiosity and courage. Whether she was dancing-something she loved with her whole being-or trying something new just for the thrill of it, she greeted life with open arms. She also found joy in quiet, creative moments. She loved working on her Diamond Dotz projects, placing each tiny gem with the same enthusiasm and attention she brought to everything else in her life. Those sparkling creations, much like her holiday themed earrings, reflected her festive personality and her love of color and joy.

She treasured her monthly coffee dates with her Aunt Nancy, cousin Joyce, and sister Lynn, gatherings that often expanded to welcome anyone who wanted to join. These visits were filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of warmth that only comes from deep, genuine connections.

Faith and community were central to her life. She dearly loved her church family at Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, MN, where she found belonging, comfort, and purpose. She held deep affection for Pastor Reed and Pastor Sarah, whose guidance and friendship meant so much to her.

She found delight in small wonders: hummingbirds flickering outside her window, the loyal companionship of her dog, Gretel, and any opportunity to brighten a room-whether through conversation, laughter, or a pair of cheerful earrings chosen for the season.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Larson; her daughters, Tracy Gehrke (Steve) and Teri Stage; her beloved grandchildren; her stepsons, Chris Larson (Jodi) and Scott Larson (Stephanie); her sisters Carol Siverling, Suzie Noring, and Lynn Jaquez; her many nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and countless cherished friends who felt like family.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Kim Noring, whom she held closely in her heart.

She was kind, smart, festive, and truly one of a kind. She made people feel welcome. She made them laugh. She made them feel seen.

Her dance may have ended, but her rhythm lives on-in the hearts she touched, the laughter she sparked, and the stories we will lovingly tell for years to come.

May hummingbirds always find her.
