Glennon Mueller Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 12, 2026.
Glennon David Mueller was born on October 1, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edmund and Elsie Mueller. The youngest of four children, Glen grew up surrounded by family, alongside his sister Barbara and brothers Jack and Roger. He was raised with strong values shaped by a humble and hardworking family-his grandparents, aunts, and uncles worked a grain farm, and his father proudly served as a U.S. postman for 35 years.

From an early age, Glen learned the rewards of discipline and community. He attended an all-boys school, worked on the family farm, and spent countless hours playing baseball-early signs of the work ethic, teamwork, and quiet determination that would define his life.

After graduating from high school, Glen earned the Evans Scholarship to Marquette University, a pivotal moment that changed the course of his life in more ways than one. While at Marquette, he met Missy on a blind date-Glen a senior, Missy a freshman-and despite the age difference, their connection was immediate and enduring. Within a year they were pinned, and one year after announcing their engagement, they married in Los Angeles, beginning a love story that would span 62 beautiful years.

Together, Glen and Missy built a rich and meaningful life. They raised four daughters, delighted in their eleven grandchildren, and filled their days with laughter, travel, deep friendships, and a steadfast commitment to their Catholic faith. Glen's faith was not only something he professed, but something he lived daily. For 25 years, he faithfully served as a Knight of Malta, dedicating himself to caring for the poor and participating in twelve pilgrimages to Lourdes, France, where he volunteered to care for the terminally ill. Glen also enjoyed a successful career in business, serving as President of Campbell Burns Company in Hilo, Hawaii, Vice President of Transcontinental Corporation in Santa Barbara, and through other professional ventures that reflected his leadership and integrity.

Above all else, Glen lived a life rooted in goodness and joy. He touched everyone he met with his sincere kindness, gratitude, patience, positivity, and warmth. He was a steady presence, a generous spirit, and a source of quiet strength to those who knew him.

Glen-Dad, Grandpa G-we know you are in Heaven, because you lived like an angel on earth. You will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
