William Dillon Obituary

Dillon, William R. One day before his 58th birthday, Bill passed to Eternal Life. Dad, you loved obituaries. Here's yours: Unanimously recognized as one-of-a-kind, Bill was a loud, proud Irishman with a sense of humor to match. A hard-working man of the people, Bill worked construction for Herder Homes, Master Lock, WE Energies, and ran his own business, Celtic Construction. Bill was married for 23 years to Barbara Dillon. Bill's children, Molly (Jesse Czech), Phillip, David, and Billy, were his pride and joy, and his recent granddaughter, Mabel Czech, was the highlight of his life. In addition to his family, Bill loved fishing up north, the Brewers, Notre Dame, and the Green Bay Packers. Blessed with a huge heart, Bill had a special way with children, the elderly, and those with special needs. Preceded in death by his parents Robert W. (Nestoria) Dillon, Jr., sister Christine Holgers and brother Mike. Loyal brother of Bob (Pat), Pat (Mike) Papi, Tim (Nanci), Mary Nell (Kevin) Knaust, Dan (Bernadette) and David (Jerlyn) Dillon and brother-in-law of Annette Dillon. Visitation Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Mary Queen of Heaven Church (2322 S. 106th St.) 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery in Janesville, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.

I remember him being a really nice, caring and funny guy. We we're supposed to visit last year. It never happened. What happened to him? My condolences to family and friends.

I was very sad to hear of Bill passing. I was a childhood friend of Bill's. I have great memories of us playing football, hunting on the Parkway, fishing at Greenfield Park or other local lakes. Bill had a great laugh and contiguous smile. He was a great guy and friend. Rest in Peace!

So very sad to hear this news about Bill. He was my pen pal at Lane Jr. High when I was in 8th and he was in 9th. We reunited via FB a few years ago and Bill was a true genuine friend, one that I was honored to call my friend. To Dan and the entire Dillon family, we, your classmates from Lane and Hale, offer our condolences. Bill will never be forgotten.

Greatly saddened to hear about Bill. Our children attended grade school and middle school with his. Bill had an infectious smile and even bigger heart. He always looked out for less fortunate by action, not just words. Bill was truly a giver, not a taker. A refreshing change from most. My family loved Bill Dillon, and will always remember him dearly.
God bless you Bill,
Donald, Trish, Donald Jr. and Morgan St George
