William "Billy" Klemp

West Allis - William "Billy" Klemp passed away on April 12, 2021 at the age of 74 while living his life to the fullest with his closest friends.

Billy had a gift for listening and a compassionate heart. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Social Change and Development at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. He went on to complete a Master's degree and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and board certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor and Clinical Supervisor. Billy used his gifts and passion to help others, working with hundreds of clients to overcome addiction. Billy was always willing to give of himself and make time for others. He has a way of making one feel at ease, hopeful and encouraged.

Nothing seemed to ever ruffle Billy's feathers. His easy going and laid back nature was ever present as he navigated through the ups and downs of life. Billy could always be counted on for two things: his quick wit and great sense of humor. Everyone found themselves on the receiving end of his sarcasm which was given in good natured jest and always followed by his contagious laugh.

To say Billy loved country music is an understatement. In a long black duster, cowboy hat, and boots you could find Billy enjoying one of his favorite local groups, The Lawmen Band. Most recently, until his passing, Billy served as President on the board of directors for the Classic Country Music Club.

Billy is survived by his sister, Gayla (Walter) Kiley, brother Marvin (Theresa) Wendler, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Tammy.

A Memorial Gathering in Billy's Honor will be held at the Bevsek-Verbick Funeral Home (10210 W. Lincoln Ave. West Allis, WI 53227) on May 28, 2021 from 1 PM - 3 PM. With a service at 3 PM.
