The most wonderful teacher I had. He taught with a drive to see his students succeed. He really cared about his students.

Mr. Bill Knorr was a very favorite teacher of mine at Salem Lutheran Blue Island , Illinois. If my memory serves me he taught 5th & 6th grade and when the class of 1961 moved into 7th & 8th grade he followed to be our teacher. We had the largest class ever to graduate from Salem Lutheran. He was such a fun teacher and really cared about his students. I have so many fond memories of his smile & laugh. He would tease me that with the last name of "Zar" that it had to be something like Zarensky. Well he wasn't far off as it turns out Zar was shortened from Zaretsky. He lived a full rich life and I know he is in Gods hands now. I want to wish his wife and children my Prayers for Comfort in their time of Grief.
