Phyllis Trivette Obituary
MorningStar Assisted Living in Glendale, Arizona. She was born February 13, 1945, in Long
Beach, California to Hugh and Mildred Rowland.
Phyllis is survived by her former husband Walter Carlton McCrumb, her children, Susan Rae
Macaulay, Karen Denise (Adam Mattheus) Ingram, Jay Carlton McCrumb and stepdaughter
Jamie Lee Trivette; grandchildren Nicholas Preston Ingram, Ky Rene (Felicia Dawn) Jackson,
Breanna Cherise Ingram, Jack Tenny; and great grandson, Agni Sirius Raymond Robertson.
She is also survived by her brother and sister-in laws, Samuel (Gayle) Trivette and Sue Trivette.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Francis Trivette, parents; siblings; stepson
James Scott Trivette and grandson, Steve Raymond Carlton McCrumb.
Phyllis lived in many states during her life including Arizona, California, Colorado, and Florida,
spending the last 30 in Juneau Alaska. Along the way she worked at several banks as a teller
and the Alaska Department of Transportation as an Administrative Assistant in Finance until she
retired in 2011. She enjoyed singing in the local choir and volunteering at Love INC in her spare
time.
Phyllis enjoyed many hobbies over the course of her life. Square dancing, macramé, horseback
riding, wood-working and gardening in the great state of Colorado; sunning by the pool, and
camping while in Arizona; and a variety of Alaskan activities. In her later years she spent much
of her time with her daughter Susan, playing cards, cooking, and whatever was on the docket
for any given day.
Phyllis loved a sweet treat, was extremely kind and courteous, and was a great hostess. She
will be missed.
Thank you all to those who have been a part of her life. We appreciate your kind words, prayers,
and condolences.
A Remembrance Service was held in Stevensville, Montana, August 17, 2024. A graveside
service has been scheduled at Alaska Memorial Park in Juneau on Thursday, September 18,
2025 at 11:00am where she will be laid to rest.
