Joanne Mitchell Obituary

Joanne Daigle Mitchell, 65, a resident of Houma, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. She is survived by her partner, Nelson LeBlanc; brother, Avery Daigle, Jr.; sisters, Bonnie A. Norton, Beverly Nair, Janell Dunn, Roxann D. Hebert, and Penny Daigle; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery P. Daigle, Sr. and Sadie Alleman; brother, Billy Joe Daigle; and sister, Janet Naquin. Joanne will forever be remembered as a loving and caring partner, sister, aunt, and dear friend. She held everyone she loved close to her heart. She was all about giving, and less concerned about receiving. Joanne will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family has comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chackbay at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the church's cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishing during this difficult time. Online condolences can be given at www.samartfuneralhome.com.
