Mary Gregoire Smith Obituary

Mary Nora Mary Gregoire Smith, 89, a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. She is survived by her sons, Ronald "Ping" Smith, Sr. and wife Dawn; Paul "Noonie" Smith and companion Belinda DeHart, Jerry "Gerald" Smith and wife Bonnie Jo, and Scotty J. Smith, Sr.; daughter, Nathalie Ann Smith; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Nickless Gregoire and wife Josephine; sisters, Elda Gregoire, Theresa G. Solet, and Peggy G Pontiff and husband Adam; and son-in-law, Bradford Lovell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam "Red" Smith; son, Chris Adam Smith; daughter, Nancy Smith Lovell; grandsons, Jose "Joe" Olivares, Derek Smith, and Keith Smith; granddaughter, Tanya Smith Segura; parents, John Nickless Gregoire and Mary Elda Lodrigue Gregoire; brothers, Morris and Norris Gregoire; and sisters, Virginia G. Dardar, Lillian G. Rodrigue, Josephine G. Parfait, Alice Gregoire, Cecille Gregoire, and Eva Gregoire. Nora was a loving mother who loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids with all her heart and was known to be tough but fair. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
