Dear Hazel and family, I'm so saddened to hear of Susie's passing. What a gal! She and many others of her class helped initiate me into the world of teaching. Such fun, such great kids, in the classroom and on the basketball court. Susie was always the one who smiled, then giggled, and took the ball and ran with it! As she did in on the basketball court, she did in her life. Susie touched so many of us with her wisdom. She was special. We'll miss her. Rest well., lady. A life well lived.

I went to school with Susan for many years and graduated with her in 71. Susan was truly an inspiration and good friend to the people that were around her and I'm sure she carried that trait throughout her life. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She will be missed!

I graduated with Susie in 1971. She was a great athlete as well as in academics. She had a giggle you couldn't miss. Susie always had a smile that lit up the hallways and in the classroom. So sorry her life was cut short. My condolences to her Family and Friends.

My heart is truly broken learning that Susie has passed away. She was one of my very best friends from Mattawan elementary, junior high and high school. We shared so many wonderful memories - from sleepovers, water skiing and summer hijinks to driving to our cabin in Canada - - Susie, Kathy Brown and me...and then being joined by my folks. Susie was not only a great friend but a role model to all. I am so proud to have shared the bond of teaching at the collegiate level with her - - the only two PhD's from our Mattawan Class of 1971. What a great accomplishment. I also understand that Susie became quite a golfer. Both of my children are avid golfers - - John IV is the tourament director for the Texas Golf Association / Houston and Hallie is the Director of Graphic Design and Photography for the Ben Hogan Golf Company in Fort Worth, TX. Susie was an amazing person and will live forever in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Much love. "Marnie No"

Was so sorry to hear of Susie's passing. She was a wonderfully delightful person. I don't know of one person who did not like Susie. She had a wonderful laugh and giggle. I played basketball with her for four years.....so much fun we had. She set an example for everyone both on and off the court in sportsmanship, integrity, and friendship. I am a better person for having had the pleasure of knowing Susie. My condolences to her family. Rest in peace dear Susie........

Another Angel was needed in heaven and without the slightest hesitation Susan filled that need. The many many people she came into contact with during her life here on earth now will remember her in their hearts forever. God bless you Susan....may God bless you indeed. Our most heartfelt sympathy to the family.
