Janice Bush

Janice Bush, 84, of Tionesta Ave., passed away Thursday (July 31) in Manchester Commons Nursing Facility in Erie.  Born Jan. 22, 1941 in Kane, she is the daughter of the late Mike and Elizabeth (Vertilla) Petruney.  She married Ralph "Sonny" Bush, who survives, on June 25, 1960 in Kane.

Janice had worked for several years at Stackpole.  She was also a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church and a past member of the Altar Rosary Society.  She volunteered at the church and helped with the finance committee and she also was a volunteer at the food pantry for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Toni (Dennis) Smith of Erie; one son, Mike Bush of Erie; two granddaughters, Hannah Baglia and Madison Smith; one grandson, Chris Smith; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Liam and Aria and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Mick Petruney and one sister, Elizabeth Tekancic.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation in the Gathering Space at St. Callistus on Thursday (Aug. 7) from 10:00-11:00 a.m.  A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski and the Rev. William O'Brien concelebrating.  Entombment will be in the mausoleum at St. Callistus Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Callistus Catholic Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
