John Cantwell Obituary
He was born Nov. 14, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois, son of the late Sidney W. and Mary E. (Clark) Cantwell. He married Juanita Denise Connor on Dec. 18, 1993, she survives.
He resided in Ridgway for 27 years and was a member of the Masonic Elk Lodge 379, a 33rd Degree Mason, a member of the Masonic Temple Consistory of Coudersport and a member of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. He was a 1972 graduate of Moon Union Senior High School in Moon Township. He had been employed by ThrussenKrump for several years and spent 44 years working in the construction trade.
In addition to his wife, Juanita Denise Cantwell of Ridgway, he is survived by the following children: Scarlett A. (Thomas) Barnett of Ridgway, David R. Cantwell of Ridgway, Ashley N. Ross of Ridgway, Danielle M. Swanson of Ridgway, Kalyn B. Cantwell and her fiancee Brian Plyler of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Jalen A. Chicola, Chloye R. Stafford, Alex T. Barnett, Anthony M. Stafford, Liam A. Parker, Brayden L. Plyler and Landon T. Parker; one sister, Amy E. Cantwell in New York; and one brother, Christopher C. Cantwell in Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcolm C. Cantwell and William H. Cantwell.
Funeral services for John David Cantwell will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
