Charles C. "Charming Charlie" Harding

AUGUSTA - Harding, Charles C. "Charming Charlie," 76, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Elmwood Cemetery (12th St. Entrance). Charles was born in Hill City, Kan. on April 26, 1937, to the late Ellen (Ambrosia) and Cliffton Harding. He retired as a international supervisor from Owens-Corning. Charles was a member of the International Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Union No. 15 in Wichita and No. 27 in Kansas City, Mo. On May 25, 1959, he married Twyla B. (Larcom) Harding, who preceded him in death on April 19, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cherry Ball. He is survived by son, Brad Harding and wife, Rachael of Augusta; daughter, Cindy Payne and husband, Jesse of Augusta; brother, John Harding of Medicine Lodge; sister, Judy Baker of Augusta; grandchildren, Hesper Smith (Sean), Monty Harrison, Destiny Harrison, Colton Harding, Mistie Hull (Lance) and Shannan Conway (Joshua); great-grandchildren, Karlee Smith, Kallie Smith, Lexi Shaver, Jake Smith, Braydan Pebbler, Taylor Hull, Addyson Cunningham, Shaun Hull, Malachi Cunningham, and Trea and Treavor Conway.
