Christopher Abel Obituary

Abel, Christopher Alan Age 50, Master Car salesman. Preceded in death by his mother, Ruby, and his sisters, Judy Statchelbeck and Connie Terrell. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Courtney and husband, Colton Pepper; father, Fred Abel, Sr.; sisters, Rita Fuller, Marilyn Dilla (Bob), Vikki Campbell, Jane Schoenborn (Frank), Patty Sparkman (Randy), Mary Brotherton, Teresa Harrell (Jon); brothers, Andy Abel, Tim Abel (Kathy) and Jim Abel (Ann); numerous loving nieces and nephews; and many many loving friends. Graveside service 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Resthaven Mortuary. Celebration of Chris's life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Park Villa in Riverside. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Meritrust CU.

I have some of my best memories ever from many a Christmas Eve hanging out with the Abel´s. Ken Brotherton, Mary Abel´s husband and my very best friend at the time, would gather a group of us up and we would head to the basement and throw dice. Chris was the life of the party and would have me and everyone else in stitches. He had a heart of gold and a contagious laugh. Those were some of the best times and memories of my life. Thanks for the awesome memories Chris.

To this day, 8 years later, I think of Chris and miss his infectious smile and attitude. There was not much that could keep him dow. I hope to see him in heaven one day as he is sorely missed.

Very sorry to hear of Chris's passing. I have many memories of being down at the Abel house on Riverside street after school during the 70's.

Lots of fun being with Chris and his other brothers building models or being over at the river fishing.
