we left each other with out saying good bye. but i know you were thinkink of me before you left. you lived a very rough life and now i know you are at peace. i think of you and kathleen everyday watching over me. even tho we cannot be together i know you both will always be in my heart. watching down from heaven and seeing what i am doing with my life. falling in love, starting a family, growing older. i want to make you both proud of me. i want to do all the things you never did. i know you will be apart of it too in my heart. its hard to think of the way things ended but i want you to know that i love you miss you very much. and i will always remember your great stories, even if they werent always true... you always loved to put smiles on peoples faces by your presence. you will be missed and loved in my heat always. love your daughter andrea

I've sat here stunned and saddened the past several days and wondered how I could put 40 years of knowing this person into a couple of paragraphs.
I can't.
Chris was someone I knew from the young obnoxious kid to the man who carried all the hurts of the world in his heart.
I shared much laughter,a few tears, a long friendship and even a short marriage with him. Chris was one of the most sensitive caring persons I have ever known. I only hope his children and family know how very much he loved them.
Chris was a tender soul and I hope he is finally at peace now. I'm sure if there is a here-after, he's gotten quite a homecoming from all the friends and family who left before him and he's off to his next BIG THING:-)
The Reader's Digest had a section about the most unforgettable person you've known. I think Chris would qualify for that with many people. I know he did with me.
Fly on Chris, your broken wing has mended.. just Imagine

Chris, although I only knew you for a short time, I felt as though I had known you for 30 years. You really made people feel at ease with your easy going nature. Thank you for taking care of Merry. You were my brother.

I was sad to hear about Chris. I know he is now in a much better place and is finally free of the physical and especially the emotional pain he has felt for quite a while. I will miss his showing up at my house at the oddest times of the day or night to just talk and laugh. He would bring Kathleen and the babies sometimes and we would sit on the swing and enjoy one another. Or we would just listen to music. He talked most about his family, his brothers and especially of Margaret. He was very proud of all of you. Especially you, Margaret. I will never forget him trying his best to talk me into turning my shed into a place for pidgeons. He would say "Just imagine it". I pray that God brings peace to all of you.

I would like to express my condolences to the family. I did not know him personally but I had to make the terrible call to 911. I wish you all the best and sorry about your terrible loss.
