Cindy Marker Obituary

NASHVILLE - Marker, Cindy Lynn (Shelton), went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2003. She was born to Curtis N. and Rosalee (Elliott) Shelton on Dec. 22, 1954 in Independence, KS. Her childhood years were spent in Derby, KS and in the Denver, CO area, where she graduated from Brighton High School, CO. At various times she worked in sales and later as a receptionist for Roadway Corp. She loved farm life, the outdoors, and every kind of animal, especially horses, her latest being 25-year-old Tinker. Cindy was a member of First Assembly of God, Medicine Lodge. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Thomas D. Marker; son, Jesse D. Marker and wife, Natasha, and year-old granddaughter, Kierra Marie, Cindy's special angel, all of Nashville; sisters, (Mona) Kay Gasaway of Wichita, Loretta Miller of Haysville, Linda Crites of Attica, Carmen Lesa Shelton of Winfield; brothers, E.J. Dickens of Derby, Curtis Lee Shelton of Nashville; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends in several states also mourn her passing. Services are at 1:30 p.m. June 14, 2003 at First Assembly of God, Medicine Lodge, with burial following at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge. No visitation. Memorial established with Kingman Community Hospital, Oncology Department. The family is grateful to all who have provided support in their help, their thoughts and their prayers. Special thanks go to the staff of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.
