Clarence Kennedy Obituary

Kennedy, Clarence Edward Jr., 95, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013. He was born January 4, 1918 to Clarence and Elsie Kennedy in Hartner, KS, 1 of 10 children. Clarence was married to Frieda Wendler on June 30, 1946 until her death in 1988. He then married Gladys Bash in 1988 until her death in 2007. He was a longtime resident of Wichita, KS and retired from Cessna as a Tooler after many years. Clarence was a member of the Catholic Church and most recently belonged to the St. Vincent de Paul parish. He enjoyed painting, fishing, talking and music. He will be remembered for his habit of blowing a train whistle when he was happy! He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; daughter, Sharon Ann Pryor; and 8 siblings. Clarence is survived by his stepdaughter, Kathy (Terry) Allen; niece, Alice Kennedy; sister, Goldie Boyle; dear friend, Ruth Ann Timmermeyer; and many other family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to an informal memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Lakeview Funeral Home.
