Col. Giroux Obituary

Col. Peter Giroux
October 28, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Colonel Peter J. Giroux, 77, passed away Oct. 28, 2021. Long ago and against the odds, he survived as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton, after being ejected unconscious from the bomber he was piloting. His injuries and pains from that were lifelong, but one would never have known it. He made a career of serving his country and community. Peter's dying is a crushing blow to his survivors: his wife, Mareyn Giroux, his two sons, Patrick Giroux (Caterina), Chris Giroux (Cathy), five grandchildren and his brothers Thomas Giroux and Gerald Giroux. America has lost a true patriot. For a full obituary, go to www.dlwichita.com. Funeral services will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, in Andover, KS, on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at 11 a.m.
