Dan Caliendo Obituary

Caliendo, Dan Sr., 97, passed on July 8, 2013. Born in Chicago, Ill., Sept 5, 1915. A graduate of Northwestern Universtiy 1938, he enjoyed careers as an accountant, Ford Dealer with dealerships in Valley Center, McPherson, and Spearville, Kan. He was Wichita's Hudson, Nash dealer and one of the midwest largest Edsel Dealers. In the 1960's he ventured into commercial real estate development in Wichita and Topeka, he was proud of his flagship Woodlawn-Central Bldg. An avid and accomplished golfer, he was a member of Rolling Hills and Crestview. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Busby Caliendo; his son, Dan Caliendo MD, (Mary Jo), Richard Caliendo; stepdaughter, Jeanne (Bill); stepson, Greg (Mary); and was recently preceded in death by his son, Frank Caliendo. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott Caliendo (Debbi) of Newton, Stephani Caliendo of Andover and Kasey Caliendo of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maebert Caliendo; his sister, Juliet; and brother, Edward of Scottsdale, Ariz.
