David Wayne Ehert

GODDARD-Ehret, David Wayne David Wayne Ehret, 63, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017 at Via Christi St Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS. He was born on January 18, 1954 in Clifton, KS to Kenneth and Bettie Ehret. David grew up in Clay Center, KS. He attended Clay Center High School and graduated with the class of 1972. After high school he attended Park College in Parkville, MO. He worked for CoBank as the Vice President of Agribusiness Banking Group in Wichita, KS for 30 years and retired in May of 2015. David married Deborah Horsch in 1989 in Wichita, KS. They were happily married for 28 years. He enjoyed drag racing, working on cars, fly fishing and spending time with family and friends. David is survived by his wife Deborah of Goddard, KS; his mother Bettie (Herschel) Buckner of Overland Park, KS; his daughter Nicole (Bronson) Rooney and son Michael (Sonia) Ehret all of San Antonio, TX; his sister Jane (Steve) Ferris of Basehor, KS. His grandchildren Jeremy Rooney; Ashley Ehret, Amber Jackson and his nieces Jenny Baker and Jill Burgess. David was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Ehret and son Bryan Ehret. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, Andale, KS. with interment to follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
