Dee Hein Obituary

NEWTON-Hein, Dee Ann 59, died Monday, August 22, 2016, at her residence. She was born November 9, 1956 in Wichita, KS, to Robert "Bob" and Twila (Jennings) Hermreck. Dee Ann was a 1974 graduate of Andale High School and attended business technical college. On June 14, 1975, she married Rick Hein at St. Marks Parish in Colwich, KS, and he survives of the home. She was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish in Newton, KS. Dee Ann worked as an Executive Assistant for Waddell and Reed in Newton. She had a passion for serving the Lord making Rosaries and shipping them all over the world, especially to third world countries. She also loved bees and enjoyed processing honey and relaxed doing cross stitch. Dee Ann worked with her husband doing Catholic Marriage Encounter for nearly 8 years. Faith, Family and Friends could be Dee Ann's motto. She greatly enjoyed serving the Lord and was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her parents Bob and Twila Hermreck of Wichita, KS; husband, Rick Hein of Peabody, KS; daughter, Jeni Hein of Peabody, KS; son, Joshua Hein of Newton, KS; 3 brothers, Rick, Loren and Carl Hermreck, all of Wichita, KS; sister, Donna Graham of Wichita, KS; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2016, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton with The Reverend Nicholas Voelker celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Newton, KS. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Guadalupe Building Fund.
