August 29, 1962 - June 23, 2021
Mulvane, Kansas - Denise Kay Standerfer, 58, died June 23, 2021. Denise retired from Boeing after 28 years. She volunteered with Mulvane Share & Care, and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She is survived by her sisters Sheri (Jeff) Moldenhauer and Terri (Jim) McLaughlin; nephew Kevin McLaughlin; aunt Freeda Steyer. Visitation 4-7pm Friday, June 25; service 10am Saturday, June 26, all at Smith Mortuary in Mulvane. Burial will follow in the Oxford Cemetery. Memorials are established with the Mulvane Care & Share and Phoenix Hospice.

I worked with Denise at Boeing - long ago. I always enjoyed visiting with her, and seeing her around Mulvane too. I was surprised to see she had passed so young.

We lived down the street and always enjoyed Denise on a walk with her little doggy. We enjoyed having conversations as she passed by. The sweetest person for sure. Rest In Peace our dear friend. Sam and LaDonna

My sincere condolences to Denise´s family. We grew up about 2 blocks from each other and spent many summer days together. We went through school together and would reconnect every time I would visit Mulvane. She was sweet, gentle yet fierce when it came to sports! She will be missed by many. Rest easy Denise
