I am so sorry to hear of cousin Gene's passing. I have met him and his family few times in Colorado when he visited his cousin Doug for a birthday party and again when he was at the Malone family reunion in Breckenridge. He comforted our family when Doug passed away. You were a strong support to all of us. . We are proud to know you and proud of the stories you told, and the stories we heard about you. When I was in high school, I worked as a nurse aide in the hospital. I also took patients over to Hertzler Clinic to see doctors. Dr. Malone was always so kind, and when he saw me, he would take time to talk to me even if he was swamped. Such a nice man and a caring doctor. Prayers for your family.

I worked with Dr. Malone at Halstead Hospital from 1986 to his retirement. He was highly respected and a very competent practioner. I worked the night shift and really appreciated his graciousness to handle his patient's problems without getting chewed out for waking him up. R.I.P. Dr. Malone, you were one of a kind.
