To Beverly Volz's family, friends, and loved ones-if I'm not mistaken on my sources-I have excellent sight in my right eye because of the gift of sight donation of one of her cornea' to me. I would have been blind if not of this God-given miracle that came thru her. I will be forever thankfull and gratefull. A lot of good came from this unfortunate tradgedy. Thank You

Im sorry for the families that lost a loved one. My sister, niece, and brother in law were in that terrible tornado and it was the most terrifying thing that ever happened i had my bags backed ready to jump in my car knowing that I had lost the people that I love a few days later they called to let me know everything was ok. To all off you that had to go through this disaster my thoughts and prayers are always with you.

I just watched a program on satellite that spoke of the tremendous devastation your community faced a year ago today. I am not a member of your community, but I am grieving the losses you and your community have felt because of that terrible tornado. I cannot help financially at this time but I can offer all of you up in my prayers now and in the days to come. May the grace of God be with all of you as you try to rebuild and move on. I won't forget you.

I am a storm chaser and volunteer storm spotter from Washburn Iowa who was watching this storm and tornado the night of this tragedy and though it was an incredible storm as far as from a storm chasers point of view it also greatly saddened me to hear of the devastation and loss in Greensburg and to the surrounding communities; My deepest thoughts, prayers and sympathies go out to Mr. Schmidt and to all the other persons who suffered loss from this storm, I know it will always be a part of my life both the incredible beauty/power and the incredible saddness.

I came across this website and was devistated by the pictures that were on it. I feel terrible that all of these lives have been lost, and the damage that has been caused to everyone's lives. I know that all of you will have the strength to live on, and live proudly, with your heads up. You all are in my prayers!! GOD bless!! Nicole Lea Lewis

What brave people you are. I do hope you can rebuild and be an awesome example to the country showing what faith and hope can do.Rowena Boal was my aunt and my grandparents(Mahins) were pastors of the First Christian Church in the mid 30,s & to 40. Much history is there for me. Bless you all.

thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. To read your words was a soothing balm. Dad was a good man- a man of integrity. He suffered through a lot of health issues- but no more. As Keith mentioned in his message we can be envious of his healthy body and victory through Christ Jesus today. The support for both mom and dad has been amazing, but PRMC deserves special accolades for how they treated both dad and the family with such kindness and grace. Mom is doing very well, considering everything. She is staying with Mike in Pratt for now. (phone # = 620-672-6123. It was great to "connect" with all of you through this venue. Thank you again for your thoughts, and thanks to the Eagle for this forum. God bless each of you. Willie

Dear Sarah and family,
I want you to know what a privilege it was for me to serve Harold at Pratt Regional Medical Center. He was a sweet, quiet, persevering man, and your care for him was lofty and admirable. There was no doubt in my mind how much you loved him. I am so sorry you lost your home also, but I know that God has provided you with a wonderful, caring family, who will see that your needs are generously met.

My love to you all,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
