I hope you and your family are all doing well.
I was devastated after hearing then attending the funeral of my best friend, Jack Myers. I am grateful for almost 60 years of friendship.
From the minute we met in Kindergarten, my friend Jack was my partner, my friend, we loved playing sports and just enjoyed life together! We always pushed each other in sports and in life and we laughed along the way!
We met again in New York City, NY this past fall. It was because I knew nothing was as much fun without my best friend, Jack. My wife, Dora, Jack and I had a blast!
I am blessed for the almost 60 years of friendship and joy we shared. Like Jack would say sometimes, Every passing minute is a chance to turn it all around. I'm taking those words to heart and living life for Jesus Christ and for my best friend whom anyone would be honored and blessed to have as a friend. He was more than a friend, he was my brother whom I loved very much.
I think of the days of our youth from playground games then to drive-in picture shows, double dating, and organized sports and all those life lessons we learned together along the way. My life was always bright and sunny when Jack was around!
I have a plaque that Jack gave me about a year ago that I now have to read it every day as it says: You Never Know How Strong You Are Until Being STRONG Is The ONLY Choice You Have.
I will always miss my best friend, Jack, but I also know that a part of him lives on in me, in his children and his family who he loved so much! I can tell you after being in a movie with Tom Cruise, friends with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and know Hollywood legends like Chuck Norris and others that Liam Neeson or any of them had nothing over my friend, Jack! Jack wasn't just acting, he lived it every day of his life!
Jack raised a great family and I know they will all carry on his legacy of hard work, determination and sense of humor! You can rest now my friend in Heaven with the Angels and watch your legacy live on, here on earth.
With love always,
Your friend,
Kevin Saunders

Jack was my teammate at OSU but most importantly he was my friend. I last spoke to Jack a couple of months ago. The conversation started with a discussion about our annual get-together which did not happen and ended with our concerns for a mutual friend. I will miss his smiling grin and unique sense of humor.
