JD and Julie Hempsmyer
November 16, 2020
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we learn of Jim’s unfortunate passing. JD had first met the Kamisky’s in the 80’s when JD moved into a house across the street on Chambers. Back in the days, way before the internet, JD saw stacks of newspapers in Jim’s garage. He asked him if he, Jim, had a certain issue as it had an ad for a rare double barrel Spanish shotgun from 2 months back, one to which JD has not seen another one since, he said “sure do”. Out we go, and within 5 minutes Jim finds the issue with the ad. JD still has that gun 35 years later and will always remember how Jim helped him obtain this cherished piece. As opined in other posts, Jim was kind, quiet, wonderful gentleman with a dry sense of humor. Julie and I will miss both he and Helen but are comforted in the knowledge Jim and Helen are together again enjoying the many bounties of heaven. Rest easy our friend, you taught your kids well and they are more than ready and quipped to take it from here. May God’s comforting arms gather
your family and friends to find peace and understanding.

My deepest condolences and prayers Meghan and Annalise, Joe and Tess. I am so glad I got to know your family. Jim was such a kind, sweet, caring, loving man. I wil miss my coffee, muffin and conversations. I remember one day I was just a talking and Jim was looking at me. Then after I finished he said " I'm sorry Jackie I didn't hear a word you said. I forgot he was hard of hearing. Lol. Love and hugs.

I had the privilege of managing James during his time with NetApp/Cvg and he was one of the nicest people to work with. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know him on a professional and personal level. Jim, you will be missed!
