Wichita, Kansas - James Leo Sachs, 84, devoted husband and loving grandpa, died Monday, September 2, 2024. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Friday, September 13, 2024, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 14, 2024, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances Sachs. Survived by his wife, Virginia Sachs; children and their families; Jim (Chris) Sachs and children, Abigail and Kaylyn Sachs; Katie (Chris) Ebberwein and children, Matthew (Katelyn) Ebberwein, Mary (Noah) Helm, Grace, Anne and Rose Ebberwein, and grandchild, Magdalene; Beth (Joe) Orth-Voegeli and children, Brianna, Micayla, Matthew, Sebastian, Joachim, Cecilia, Simeon, and Tristen Orth, and grandchildren, Marley and Ziggy; Greg (Misty) Sachs and children, Owen, Donovan and Lincoln Sachs; Emily (Doug) Jueneman and children, Isabelle, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Nicholas, Lucas, Lillian, Thomas, and Catherine Jueneman. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora St., Wichita, KS 67212, and Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, 8101 West Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67212. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel. My condolences to the Sachs family. Jim and I went all through school together (1946-1958) and many reunions over the years. What a lovely legacy Jim has left with his extended family. Dear friend,´til we meet again - may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
