Wichita, Kansas - Jerald "Jerry" Gray, 79, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 28, 2025.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Leo of Wichita, KS.
He is survived by his wife, Velda; his daughter, Heather Nelson (Ray); his son, Brian; and his grandson, Trenton Nelson.
Rosary will be at 6:30 pm, Thursday, August 7, 2025; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Friday, August 8, 2025, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a memorial donation to the Great Plains Nature Center, 6232 E. 29th St. N., Wichita, KS 67220; or Our Daily Bread Food Pantry c/o Catholic Charities, 437 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202.

I've competed against Jerry since the eighth grade, especially in basketball. They were state champions in 1964 at Goddard. Sorry to hear of his passing.
