July 18, 1939 - August 3, 2025

Wichita, Kansas - He is proceeded in death by mother, Pauline Maus, father, Ralph Maus, and siblings Raymond Maus and Juanita (Maus) Lombardo, and children, James and Diana Maus.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 at St. John the evangelist Catholic Church 18630 W. 71st St. S., Viola, KS 67149 with the rosary at 10 AM and funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Burial services will be held following at Jamesburg Cemetery, 1815 North Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS.

Jess was my lieutenant at station 8C shift that would´ve been about 1974 or 1975; he had came out of fire prevention as a lieutenant and then he tested for captain and he was promoted two or three years later, and I worked for some station shifts underneath them when he was a captain and I was a firefighter
