Joachim Walther Obituary

Walther, Joachim (Joe), passed away December 15th at the age of 84. He died peacefully in the home where he had lived for the past 48 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Joyce Patricia Walther, son Kurt Walther and his wife Jackie. Joe was best known for his career as a commercial and wedding photographer. He was one half of Walther Photography, where together with his wife Pat, they created wedding memories for generations of local residents. Ever charming and gracious, he leaves us with a memory of a loving husband and father, and a consummate gentleman. Services by Broadway Mortuary. I saw Joachim and Pat at SO many weddings in St. Marks, Colwich and Andale through the years. He took photos at my wedding as well as all 6 of my brothers' weddings, I believe. Charming and gracious indeed! God bless.

The pictures Joe made of us have lasted well through our forty years of marriage.
He caught treasured images of a small slice of our own early happiness. He gave a dignity to his work which we much admired.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. Joe & Pat created such a great wedding album for us 24 years ago that we cherish to this day. He was such a talented photographer. The Nick Orth family will be forever grateful for the work he did for us.
