Stacy & Kylee,
Remember the fun times. You two were so lucky to have a man like Joe in your life. So full of life and such an outdoor man. Never a dull moment. Joe always had a plan of adventure for you guys, never heard him once talk about just sitting and doing nothing. Back during the Chamber days and City Events he was the only "REAL MAN" I enjoyed talking with, the others were too stuffy for my taste. I'll never forget being at the hospital with you and Joe during Kylee's birth. Joe being the proud husband and father had so much compassion for you two. Again... my friend, please call anytime night or day if you need anything. My heart goes out to both of you.

Stacey and Kylee, It is with a great sense of sorrow I share my feelings with you. Joe was one of the finest. When stationed with him in the Guard both here and in Korea he was always a "class act". As the sound and lighting company for the Wichita Thunder in prior years I only wish I had realized how close he was and made contact. The USA pageant is another story as well. Stacey,
I just returned to Wichita today and heard about Joe. I enjoyed the eight years I worked for him at the CVB. From my first day on the job traveling with him and several others to Boston for an ASAE conference, to the day you two attended my wedding, I knew he was a special man. Know that you and Kylee are in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Stacy & Kylee,
Sorry I never met you, whenever I talked with my old friend Joe all he could talk about was his girls. I have known Joe since the old Hotel-Motel association, before the convention and visitors bureau. I give Joe credit for being a visionary for the city of Wichita. God bless you.
I hope there's lots of fish in heaven.

Stacey,
Joe was a great guy and always had a story to tell. They just don't make them like that anymore and it is a shame. He was very proud of you and Kylee.

Jim kind of wraps in up in one teaspoonfull when he said Mr. Boyd turned Wichita from A Cowtown to the most vibrant happening city next to maybe Des Moines or Chicargo. He was a beloved and stirring example of what could be done if you put our heads togther and pull as a team.

Stacey and Kylee, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I just recently had the pleasure of meeting Joe at your home a couple of times while discussing a possible kitchen/bathroom remodel project he wanted to do for you. We ended up visiting for about an hour. I enjoyed his stories. I was most impressed with his obvious love and devotion to you both. He showed off pictures and his eyes lit up when he talked about you and Kylee. It was so sweet to hear him speak of his little girl. SO much love there. He was so easy to talk to and so enjoyable. And I know of the many things he did to better our city and "put us on the map". So, even though I didn't really know him or you, I felt compelled to write this. I feel a loss that's hard to explain. A loss for our city and certainly a loss for the two of you. How blessed you were to have someone so loving and devoted to his family and community.

Joe stole my heart; I was 14 and he was 20. He was working at Eastgate Mall, and I would find every excuse to go into the photo department just to see him. I considered him a true gentleman and genuine buddy. He became a friend of my family, and gave us encourgement and support when my father passed away in 1974. I want to give you and your children the same kind and caring encourgement that Joe gave to me all of the years ago... "Remember that you have been loved" LaJune Olson Lynch
