Wichita, Kansas - John G. Downey, 78, independent entrepreneur, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Visitation will be from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 1, 2024, at Northside Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, Gail G. and Eleanor R. Downey; son, Jonathan Downey; daughters, Kathleen Ambrosio, Sarah Downey. Survived by his wife, Anna M. Downey; daughters, Stephanie (David) Hays, Jennifer (Mark) Fawcett; grandchildren, Mitchell Hays, Jayden Hays, Sarah Fawcett, Zoey Fawcett, Brook Ambrosio; sister, Rose LaGree; brothers, Bob (Carolyn) Downey, Mike (Julia) Downey; Brother-in-law, John (Monica) Keiter. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the memorial of your choice.
