February 16, 1973 - July 13, 2021
Bonney Lake, Washington - John David Lorei, 48, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend died unexpectedly at his home on July 13, 2021. He was born February 16, 1973. Left to mourn his passing are his mother Janet (Lloyd) Berney of Benton, KS, father Gary (Sandy) Lorei of Haysville, KS; sisters Christy Lorei of Wichita, KS, and Deanna (Brad) Chirnside of Punta Gorda, FL; and brother Steven (Marie) Berney, niece Sophia Berney, and nephew Steven Berney, all of Wichita, KS. John graduated from Circle High School in Towanda, KS. After training in the U.S. Air Force, John began his 24-year career at Boeing as an aircraft mechanic. An avid outdoorsman, John loved spending his free time fishing, hunting, and riding Harleys with his friends. John never knew a stranger and was extremely generous with all God had given him. He was the first to help anyone and was known to cheer anyone up who was down. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Per John's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will take place.

My deepest condolences to all his family. John was an amazing man with a huge heart of gold, he would do anything for a friend and could darn near fix anything on this planet. He is greatly missed and his smirky smile will never be forgotten.

Our deepest sympathies to the family. John had an infectious personality and a profound impact on both our lives, as he was the SOLE reason we met 30 years ago this year. He was so sure we were right for each other, me his coworker and jeff his school friend, he made sure we met and told us then, we´d be married one day....and here we are still married 27 years later w 3 kids. We think of him fondly and w laughter of good times had. We were saddened to hear of his passing. He will be missed!
