Joseph B. "JB" Cusick Jr.

Cusick, Joseph B. Jr. "JB," 87, retired design engineer at Beech Aircraft from 1940-1982 died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007. He was born in Winfield, Ks., on November 21, 1919 to Evelyn and Joseph B. Cusick and attended Wichita East High School. "JB" served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946 on the U.S.S. Baker DE-190. In 1984, he and his wife Delores retired to Grove, OK, returning to Wichita in 2001. He is preceded in death by his son Richard D. Survivors: wife of 66 years, Delores G; sons and spouses, Joseph B. III (Josie) of Peck, Edward K. (Janice) and George R. (Nina) of Wichita; daughter, Kathleen S. Cusick-Nelson of Wichita; daughter-in-law Martha J. Cusick of Wichita; sister, Martha Williams of Littleton, CO; and his dearly loved 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Joe was a great husband, father and sportsman and will be missed by all. Visitation: Thursday, noon-8 PM at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita. Service: 10 AM Friday, November 16, 2007 at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central, Mulvane.
