Wichita, Kansas - Joshua Smith passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 43, at home. He was born to Elmer and Mary Smith on March 1, 1978 in Wichita, Kansas. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice Buck, Bertha Smith and Paul Smith. He is survived by his parents; sister, Christi (Sherry Mills) Smith; nieces, Melissa, Samantha (Kelly), Amanda (Brittany), Lacreisha; nephew, Brandon; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; many cousins; aunts and uncles and a beloved cat, Grace (Crazy Cat).
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 10 from 5:00-8:00 PM with funeral service the following day, Thursday, November 11, both at Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway Ave., Wichita, Kansas. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 10 am at the Kechi Tonship Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Joshua's name and loving memory with the Special Olympics, 5280 Foxridge Dr., Mission, KS 66202.
