Kerry Longwell Obituary

Kerry Longwell
January 24, 1944 - March 12, 2022
Goddard, Kansas - Kerry Elizabeth Kirkbright Sapp Longwell, age 78, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 after battling Corticobasal Degeneration Syndrome. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Rose Kirkbright (Staunton), sister Roseanne Lindsey, first husband Samuel Sapp, second husband Frank Longwell, and her grandson Nicholas Crain. She is survived by her brother David Kirkbright (Susanne) of California; sister Kathleen Bates (Tommy) of Texas; son Christopher Sapp of Colorado; son Murdock Scott (Katy) of Texas; daughter Holly Crain (Randy) of Wichita; Kelly Cain-Swart (James) of Goddard; 12 grandkids and 10 great-grandkids that she absolutely adored.
Kerry has worn many hats throughout her lifetime. She was a mother, a grandma, a great-grandma "GG", a friend, a military wife, a lover of nature, a caretaker, an artist, a businesswoman, and the list goes on and on. She was whatever she needed to be at the time, always willing to help out. She left a mark on everyone she met, and will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family is making a memorial garden in her honor. If you would like to contribute a plant or memento to be included in the garden, please send them to her daughter Kelly-Cain Swart, 2761 S. 183rd St. West, Goddard, Kansas, 67052.
