I played High School Football with Kurt. He was the hard-nosed fullback on our team. He was a natural athlete and I remember going skiing with him for a couple of weeks in Aspen, CO and how he needed no lessons, it just came easily to him. I also remember one afternoon we decided on whim to drive to Dallas for a party that night. We made it without a speeding ticket. We went whitewater canoeing for the first time on a river when we were 17. Neither one of us had a clue. I think we crashed eight times.

I have many memories of Kurt. We played high school football together. Kurt was a hard-nosed fullback that I don't think ever fumbled. We went canoeing together at 17 on the Buffalo River and crashed about eight times. We once decided to drive to Dallas on a whim at 2:00 P.M. to make it to a party. Kurt was a natural athlete. We spent a couple of weeks in Aspen skiing. Kurt never took lessons he just did it. We used to play racquetball regularly and Kurt would probably not admit that I ever won or that we used to go to Chi-Chi's and drink Peach Margaritas after we played. He was a great guy.

Sympathies and prayers for the family. Went to High School with Kurt. Helluva Running Back. He was quiet and laid back but on the Football Field nobody tougher and faster. God bless Kurt....
