Larry was a friend and teaching colleague. I never heard him speak unkindly about anyone. I still miss his stories, his musicianship, his Christian outlook on life, and his friendship. Larry, you are missed.

Mr. Belew was one of the best teachers I had in high school and made an impact on my life. He truly was great at teaching music, I had enjoyed staying in touch with him on here. My prayers are with Judy and the family.

I was blessed to enjoy a wonderful friendship with Larry. He loved to share his love for Christ with anyone, who would listen. He was a man of grace and integrity with a passion for music and theatre. Because he was a positive role model to many of us, who knew him as a friend, a fellow music teacher, or a Christian leader, he has left us a great legacy....he would want his friends to be followers of Christ. My life is richer because of Larry and I will miss him. Blessings to his family.

Our thoughts & prayers for Larry's beloveds and many friends and former students. Heaven gained a great jewel. May the memories that linger be those of a life lived for Jesus, broken and spilled out with purpose and joy, and quiet laughter. Love & prayers,

What a wonderful, encouraging, giving man with so much talent, and unselfish giving. He was a part of a beautiful team, as he was married to a childhood friend of mine, Judy Kahoe, also of Kansas. The set design and set building for the many Christmas and Easter pageants at Wichita First were simply genius on display. So outgoing, and so caring. He wil certainly be missed by all who knew him, and most assuredly will be welcomed by his Savior first of all as well as all who preceeded him in death. The legacy and love their daughter had lavished upon her growing up in that musical, loving, creative home is a pearl beyond price.

My condolences Judy and family.
