i miss my daddy so much already. who will i call call for cooking instructions? who will i call when baseball overcomes me? when i just want to say "hi," and "i love you." and who will say it back to me, and tell me how it will all be o.k? i hope i will do justice to these gifts i got from him. calm and warm and passionate and free. good food, cookin' in the kitchen. there's beer in the fridge, and everyone is welcome. opinions and all, big and small, and, like daddy, i will listen. live every day like larry! love, aimee.

My dear Lois,

Over 30 years ago, a sisterhood was born in Hutchinson, Kansas. A bond closer than blood, the petals of souls intertwined into one beautiful rose - with lot of leaves along it's stalk, representing our own separate families. You are one of our most exquisite petals, struck by nature's storm, and we instinctively close up our petals around hers in a loving embrace. My sweet little "sister" - you have been so strong for us, many times. I know the hurt of your loss is the most unbearable feeling, but in Larry's honor, you will hold his spirit high - and be the strong woman that he knew, and knows, you are. Tears are the blessing of emotional strength - so cry them. It means you are still alive, and that you love him, evermore. Peace will bathe your heart in time, but the memories are what keeps you whole. I love you, and will be keeping you and the girls in my prayers. *hugs tight* Always, Sheri

Although I haven't seen Larry for decades, I will always treasure my time together with him when he was a frequent customer at Taco Tico where I worked with Wallace White. I look forward to the time when we will share time together again, and be able to renew our friendship. Although he has left us in only one way, he is still with us in others, and he will be until the end of the age. May God Bless you abundantly, Larry, as you have blessed us.

Larry was truly a gentle man. I don't remember ever feeling negativity from him.

His trademarks were being Lois's soulmate - and - being caring and compasionate to all others.

He sure knew how to pick the winners in both baseball and life.

My prayers go to all who are greiving our loss of Larry.

God bless you Larry. You were always a friend. My condolences to all of your family, for I know they will miss you deeply. Tim, hello. It's been a long time. I have nothing but fond memories of both you.

The grace and beauty in the way Larry carried himself on the playing field was matched by the way he lived his life. He was the kind of person that I wish I had grown up living next door to..... A great Shocker fan , I'm sure he will still be there in spirit to help return the basketball team to its glory days.........

I also always enjoyed Larry's take on politics.......... I'm sure it wouldn't be popular with a lot of Kansans......... but he was 'right on' 99.3 % of the time.........

Dittos Larry...........

We'll all miss you........... Tom

I cannot say enough how devastated I am about Larry's death. He was my baseball buddy and I don't what to say to Lois, but I am so grief stricken. He was a compastionate man with a zest for life that I will never forget. The world has lost a profoundly good human being. Something inside me died when he did.
