Lonnie "Todd" Esch

Esch, Lonnie "Todd" 50, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016. He was born in Salina, KS on April 17, 1965. Todd graduated from Southeast of Saline High School and majored in "Life 101". He married Shellie Eells on August 29, 1989. Todd worked construction and was a salesman in life. Todd's greatest joy and main focus in life was his two sons South and Alec Esch. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, motorcycles, the Buffalo Bills and befriending and taking in the strays like "Fatboy" his chocolate lab, and cooking and grilling the most amazing feasts for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Comfort; all of his grandparents; and two uncles, Jerry and Jimmy Dumas. He is survived by his sons, South and Alec Esch; his parents, Richard and Claudia Esch; siblings, Chantel (Greg) Warren, Mike (Carmen) Esch, Lynna Hoeffner (Jay Preece); stepbrothers, Brian (Lori) Esch, Brent (Jennifer) Esch; uncle, Billy (Ladona) Dumas; cousins, Eddie (Vicki) Dumas, Dustin Dumas; and six nephews and two nieces. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016, with a Rosary preceding at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora St., Wichita, KS 67212. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Todd Esch Memorial Fund" at the Farmers State Bank, 2074 E. Kansas, McPherson, KS 67460.
