Louanna Raben Obituary

LEAWOOD - Raben, Louanna, passed away December 5 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born December 14, 1929 in Lindsborg to Luther and Alice Runberg, she and the late Dr. Cy Raben were married in St. Louis in 1952, and moved to Russell Kansas where they raised their 8 children. Later they moved to Wichita and Louanna spent her final years in Leawood. Survivors include sister, Doris Ferguson, brother Jim Runberg, her children and families Dr. Tony and Cindy Raben (Rachael, Erik, Bayli, Chloe), Dr. Kathy and Pat Hogan (Charlie, Sean), Dr. Lucynda Raben, Trudy and Dick Hinderliter (Alex, Tanner), Alice Raben, Chris and Pam (Logan Cy), Sarah and Christian Scharlau (Lara), Barbara and Dr. Roland Krause (Anna, Lukas, Nikolas). Interment and mass January 2, 2010 at 10 a.m., in Wichita, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1321 North Stratford Lane and Ascension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial with the library of St. James Academy, 24505 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, KS 66227.
