Mary Sackett Obituary

SACKETT-Mary L. Sackett, of Whittier passed away on Friday, February 2, 2007. Mary was born in Delavan, Wisconsin on August 5, 1920, the only child of Ralph and Gladys Densmore. She was raised in Rockford, Illinois and attended Northern Illinois University. After moving to California in 1952, she resided in Pico Rivera and Valinda before Finally settling in Whittier in 1973. Mary is survived by her children; Patricia A. Newman (Ira) of Perr is, CA, John Densmore Ford of Las Vegas, NV, Susan Jeanne Harris (Johathan) of Whittier, Mary Christine Embrey (Mitchel) of Whittier and Kathleen V. Sackett of Whittier. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Her loving family will miss seeing her warm smile but all know and will always remember that she loved each and every one of them Mary worked for Whittier City Councilman Bob Henderson, at his insurance agency for 39 years and was also an active member a t Hillcrest Congregational Church in La Habra Heights. She will be missed by all her friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Hillcrest Congregational Church 2000 West Rd. La Habra Heights, CA 90601. The family requests expressions of sympathy are made in memory of Mary Sackett to: Hospice of Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier.
