Mary Windsor Obituary

HAVEN - Windsor, Mary E., passed away June 30, 2009 at Promise Regional Medical Center Hutchinson, KS. Mary was born November 30, 1938 in Peabody, Kansas to Theodore and Ruth (Uphoff) Lackey. She had worked as an executive secretary for Jefferson Life Insurance Company and Collins Industries. She was owner/operator of Windsor Furniture Haven. She was a member of LaCanden Club and attended Congregational United Church of Christ in Haven. On August 23, 1958 she married Wayne W. Windsor of Peabody, KS. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Brian of Oklahoma City OK, David of Stillwater, MN; two daughters, Eileen Beavers and husband John of Chapman KS, and Angela Curran and husband Kevin of Kansas City MO; five sisters, Dorothy Knust of Richardson TX, Mildred Shoaf of Lexington NC, Pat Knust-Henderson of Peabody KS, Karen Curtis of Lakewood CO, and Jan Davis of Manhattan KS; two grandchildren Tom and Maggie Curran. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marjorie St. Clair, and two brothers Ted and Bill. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 5 2009 Ott Funeral Home, Haven. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2009 at Congregational United Church of Christ, Haven with Pastor Sam Askew officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6 2009 at Prairie Lawn Cemetery Peabody, KS. Memorials may be sent to the Congregational United Church of Christ in care of Ott Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Haven, KS 67543.
