Michael Londagin Obituary

Michael Londagin

August 11, 1949 - December 27, 2023

Sedgwick, Kansas - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Dwight Londagin, a beloved husband, father, and a member of our community. Michael, aged 74, entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2023, in Sedgwick, Kansas with his wife Linda by his side. He was born on August 11, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Dwight Londagin and Dovey (Roberts) Hewitt.

Michael's life was marked by honorable service to his country. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his unwavering dedication and commitment to defending our great nation. Following his military service, Michael embarked on a successful career as a metallurgist at Beechcraft. Michael enjoyed his retirement to the fullest.

Beyond his professional achievements, Michael's greatest joy was found in the love and warmth of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 26 years, Linda (Twietmeyer) Londagin, who stood faithfully by his side throughout their beautiful journey together. Together, they shared the joys and challenges of life, building a foundation of love and support that will endure for generations to come.

Michael's memory will forever be treasured by his loving daughter, Tammy Londagin, and sons, Curry (Shauna) Black and Jesse (Amy) Black. His presence will be deeply missed by his siblings, Lela Spangler, Ed Londagin, Randy (Jane) Londagin, Babby Randol, Lori (Brian) Chelenza, and Treena Hewitt. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and pride in his grandchildren: Devin Burns, April Ashley, Jacob Ashley, Kaleigh Black, Makenzie Black, Tre Black, Braden Black, Keaten Black, Raegen Black, and his three great-grandchildren. Additionally, he will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In his leisure time, Michael delighted in spending hours on his CB radio, engaging in conversations that connected him with others near and far. Photography was another passion of his, allowing him to capture precious moments and create lasting memories. One of his greatest pleasures was sharing his knowledge and experiences with his beloved grandchildren, teaching them to drive in his cherished antique Army Jeep.

Visitation will be Thursday January 4th from 5 to 7 P.M. at Wulf-Ast Mortuary 911 Biermann, Garden Plain, Kansas. Funeral Service will be January 5th at 1:00 P.M. with visitation to follow at Wulf-Ast Mortuary. Graveside Service will be January 8th, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Liberty Cemetery in Fay, Oklahoma to pay their final respects and bid farewell to a remarkable man who touched the lives of all who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and guide us in the days ahead.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Michael's memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 301 N. Main St., Ste 300, Newton, KS 67114.

Rest Michael, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service to this nation. U.S. Air Force.

Michael was a long-time friend. Visits by phone or over a meal were enjoyed and he always made you feel welcome and was willing to lend a hand. We also appreciated his willingness to share his photography skills and admired his beautiful photos and drone footage. He will be deeply missed. Prayers for Linda and the family...may the peace of the Lord be with you all. We are here for you.
