The family would like to thank Bethany United Methodist Church for the lovely dinner provided after the memorial service. Your love and compassion during our time of loss has been so greatly appreciated. Norman would have been so proud to be honored this way with his family and church family present in celebration of his life. Thanks also goes out to all who support us in prayer in our time of grief.

I had the privilege of working with Norm for awhile. he was a good man and he always tried to do his best no matter what the task.He will be missed by many as one who tried to leave the world a little better than he found it though his work.

To Norman's Family,

Unfortunately I have not met any of you, but my name is Lesley Vaughn, and I was a good friend of Norman's. I met Norm when he did some work, laying laminate flooring, in my parents' home. Norm did an absolutely beautiful job, and he and I became fast friends.

Norman was a wonderful man. He always offered me words of wisdom and encouragement. We would spend hours just talking and goofing off with one another. He had a very gental soul.

My family and I would SINCERELY like to come and pay our last respects to Norman at his funeral services. As mentioned before, we unfortunately never got to meet Norman's family before this tragedy; therefore, we have NO way of knowing exactly where and when his services will be held. I will leave my contact information below. PLEASE get ahold of me, and let me know what the funeral plans are. I am also planning on placing a wreath by the railroad tracks near the sight of the accident at McArthur and K-15. I would like to know if this okay with the family first, however.

Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. Norman will be SORELY missed.

Here is my contact information:
Lesley Vaughn
(316) 806-2651 = Cell Phone

If there is no answer, then please leave a message and I will DEFINATELY make sure to get back to you. Thank you, and again, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,

Lesley Vaughn

To the family of Norman, I offer my sincere condolences. I am not sure whether anyone will remember me or not, but I was a friend of Norm's over 20 years ago and had not seen him, nor have I spoken to him, since that time. I remember meeting his wonderful mother, Pat (when she lived in Ark City), as well as two of his sisters. I also met Brad and June Brooker in Texas when Norm went to stay with them in 1989 or so, and they were so hospitable to me during my stay. I know this accident is a horrible shock to everyone and I am keeping you all in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Julie (Cain) Bruce-Banks
